MEng EEE Student | Hardware / Power / Embedded
I am an MEng Electronic and Electrical Engineering student at the University of Edinburgh, with a strong focus on hardware systems, power modules, embedded control, and laboratory automation. My experience covers circuit design, PCB implementation, embedded debugging, CAD-based mechanical design, and rapid validation through 3D printing, supported by MATLAB/Simulink, Verilog, and Python for modelling and system integration.
Internship Experience
Hardware Engineer Intern
Shanghai Minkong Aviation Technology Co., Ltd.
/Shanghai, China
- Contributed to power module development covering component selection, circuit design, PCB layout, soldering, and debugging.
- Supported the design and testing of a quadruped robot motor energy recovery system with rectification, boost conversion, power management, and charging circuits.
- Wrote and debugged embedded control code for servos, motors, and system status monitoring.
- Designed mechanical parts and enclosures in CAD and validated them through 3D printing and assembly.
Test Engineer Intern
SGS-CSTC Standards Technical Services Co., Ltd.
/Shenzhen, China
- Performed SAR and millimetre-wave exposure testing using SPEAG DASY systems for electronic device compliance.
- Calibrated and verified SAR measurement systems, including probes, tissue-equivalent liquids, and system validation tests.
- Assisted with EMC test setup and configuration of antennas, EMI receivers, and signal generators.
- Supported data processing, report writing, and client communication for regulatory compliance work.
Electrical Engineering Intern
Ningbo Dasheng Metal Products Co., Ltd.
/Ningbo, China
- Assisted engineers with routine electrical inspection, grounding checks, and basic fault troubleshooting for metal-processing equipment.
- Helped organise electrical distribution drawings and equipment operating data.
- Supported English email communication, customer documentation, and on-site translation tasks.
